Don’t Pay Full Price Online
I really enjoy shopping online. For me, the convenience of shopping when I want is huge. Of course, I have to admit, I also like receiving packages in the mail, especially when I’ve forgotten what I’ve ordered.
The other thing I get excited about is finding a deal. I never want to pay full price for anything. Here are some tips for finding discounts.
1. Search for coupon and discount codes online. When I find something I want to buy, I always open a separate browser and search for a coupon code for that company. Often I will find a code that gives me an extra 10-20% off or free shipping.
2. Shop around. This might be a no brainer, but I’ve found the same item at different places having different prices. Lately, I’ve found Amazon to have lower prices on items that are more expensive in a physical store. This isn’t always the case though. I usually check out a few sites, which include Amazon as well as the manufacturer of the item.
3. Find out what your friends are buying online. Many companies have friend referral programs so if you refer someone to the site, that person gets a discount. And sometimes, not only do they get a discount, you get one too. This is how I found out about my new makeup obsession, Lime Crime. Lime Crime is a vegan makeup company that has a fun website and lipsticks that go on and stay put. Through referrals, I’ve received discounts on doTerra oils, Rothy’s shoes, which are made from recycled pop bottles, the Prana online store and access to the online Columbia employee store, just to name a few. People are usually happy to pass on their discounts, I know I am!
4. Sign up for company emails. Often companies will give you a discount just for signing up for their emails. Usually, I’ll sign up to get the discount and use it to buy the thing I want. Then I’ll remove myself from the email list. There is usually an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
I hope these tips help. Let me know if you have any others. Happy shopping!

I love shopping 😉 so thanks for the tips. I use most of them already but I don't do the email sign-ups. I find unsubscribing doesn't always work. I did create a "fake" email account for that purpose, then promptly forgot the password!
